Kratom Ads: What’s Allowed and What’s Not? | Why It Matters

July 29, 2020 by Phyto

Did you know that there are many limitations put on what we can and cannot say about kratom? Even when new science points out exciting possibilities for kratom, we can often not share that news with our customers due to FDA regulations.

What can we put on our kratom labels, and why does this matter so much in the industry?

Today, we’ll give you some deep insight into what is and what is not allowed when it comes to kratom advertisement and how we are working to improve that. The restrictions in place may be shocking, but they are the reality of what the industry must deal with.

The Truth About What We Can Say

Here at Phytoextractum, we do our best to keep our customers informed with the latest news in Kratom while ensuring our advertising and labeling first with all current guidelines. It’s not always an easy line to walk, but we do our best.

Our Product Information

When you visit our website and browse the kratom products that we have available, there is certain information that you will always find:

  • Product name
  • Product strain
  • Product strain origins
  • Product active ingredients
  • Testing information

You will notice that our product pages never mention any specific benefits that consumers might look for from kratom, nor do we give guidance about using kratom for any specific conditions.

Avoiding Unsubstantiated Claims

The biggest thing that we have to avoid when writing up any product labels, descriptions, or articles is that the FDA would consider unsubstantiated claims.

Under FDA guidance, there are two types of claims. Health claims are claims that must be pre-approved by the FDA and specifically address how a product or ingredient treats a specific condition or symptom. Structure/function claims are claims about nutrient effects that can be used more generally, but they still must have enough evidence to support these claims.

The FDA does not permit kratom vendors to use either health or structure/function claims as they do not currently recognize much of the ongoing research about kratom and its potential effects.

AKA’s Compliance Guidelines

In addition to paying attention to the latest news about kratom out of the FDA, we use the GMP compliance program rules from the American Kratom Association to guide what we do and do not say about kratom in our advertising and on our labels.

Essentially, this means that we do the following on our labels:

  • We do not say that kratom can treat any specific disease, nor do we include any specific research data, clinical studies, or health claims as the FDA could claim they are unsubstantiated.
  • We always include a disclaimer that our products are not intended to treat any specific disease or condition.
  • We ensure that our products affirm that we have not altered the content of the active ingredient in any way.
  • We make sure our products all have the appropriate batch and lot numbers.

By extension, we are also careful not to make any specific claims about what kratom can and cannot do in our marketing as well. We have seen how the FDA prevents vendors from sharing these types of experiences or ongoing research areas, so we reduce our risk by covering other areas instead.

FDA Pushback

The back-and-forth between advocates for the kratom industry and the FDA has been going on for years. While the FDA continues to try to push for the scheduling of kratom as a drug, the National Institute of Drug Abuse has concluded through their studies that it does not qualify for scheduling at this time.

Still, the FDA continues to ignore ongoing research and considers all claims about kratom to be unsubstantiated. Simultaneously, they affirm that kratom research suggests it may be just as dangerous as opioids, which is an unsubstantiated claim by their own terms.

Ultimately, the FDA’s conflict to settle on reasonable and measured regulation of the kratom industry will continue for years to come.

The Future Of Advertising And Labeling

The restrictions placed on kratom vendors is dangerous, and we’re not just saying that because it can be challenging to know what we can and cannot legally say!

Strict limitations are put in place without giving clarity to the kratom industry at large, leading to a lot of confusion for customers. High-quality vendors like us take these restrictions seriously while other companies ignore them and make bold, inaccurate claims.

As a consumer, how are you supposed to know what is and what is not okay? Without clarity or approved regulation from the FDA, consumers are left in a dangerous position.

Implementing The KCPA

One way that the American Kratom Association is addressing this problem is by working with specific states to implement the Kratom Consumer Protection Act. These acts function on the state level and ensure that kratom vendors working in that state must follow guidelines. These guidelines provide information on how labeling and information should be handled and regulated.

Truth in Labeling Program

The AKA also recently started a program known as Truth in Labeling. Through this program, companies that are making bold or unsubstantiated claims can be reported to the group. AKA will then reach out to the vendor to help them get their labels under control.

If the vendor continues to risk the industry’s future by refusing to comply with FDA protocols, the vendor will be reported to the FDA. This process will begin the self-regulation that is present in other industries.

Keep Yourself Informed

While we will continue to ensure that we provide as much good information as possible while also creating our high-quality products, we urge curious consumers to stay up to date through other sources.

Kratom vendors like us are limited in what we are permitted to say because unsubstantiated claims could cause the FDA to target our business. Still, other organizations such as the American Kratom Association can share more research, statistics, and information.

To stay up to date with the latest kratom news, visit AKA’s website today.

Pronouncing Kratom: What Is The “Right” Way?

July 15, 2020 by Phyto

In communities large and small, there are bound to be disagreements from time to time. The kratom community is no exception. Within our powerful community, there is a common question that comes up and divides advocates onto opposite sides.

What is that argument about?

It’s about the right way to pronounce the word “kratom” and whether the pronunciation really matters.

How do you pronounce kratom? Do you think the way that you are reading that word in your head is the more popular pronunciation or the less popular one? Did you realize that people said it in different ways?

It’s time to learn all about these pronunciation differences to find out if there really is a “correct” pronunciation that we all need to get behind!

How Do People Pronounce Kratom?

If you haven’t spoken with anyone directly about kratom, chances are pretty high that you’ve only ever imagined kratom pronounced in one way, and that is the way that you are always reading the word in your head.

What are the other ways that you might hear people pronouncing kratom? Let’s see how people believe kratom should be pronounced.

KRAY-tum

One way that you will often here kratom pronounced in America is as KRAY-tum, which rhymes with the name Tatum. This pronunciation of kratom utilizes the long A sound, which comes out like “ay.” Long A sounds are more common with certain American accents than others, and that is a large part of why some people have defaulted to this pronunciation.

For many, reading kratom as KRAY-tum is the natural way to sound out the word when they have never heard it aloud before. But it is not the only way that this word could be read.

KRAT-um

Another way that kratom may be pronounced is as KRAT-um, which rhymes with the word atom. This pronunciation utilizes the short a sound, which comes out like the “a” in cat. In many ways, reading A sounds as “ah” can be considered to be more standard in English but less common with many American dialects.

When it comes down to it, pronouncing kratom as KRAT-um is just as common as KRAY-tum; neither has a significant lead over the other in the American kratom community.

KEH-tum

There is one more way that some argue kratom should be pronounced. According to some people, kratom is called ketum, pronounced KEH-tum, when talked about in many of the Southeast Asian regions where kratom grows naturally.

Those who prefer to call kratom KEH-tum say that this is the best way to pronounce the word because it is closest to the true pronunciation from where the plant originates. In reality, however, different countries in this region have different words for kratom as well, so it’s hard to say which language’s word should be used.

Avoid The Word Kratom Altogether

There are even some people who choose to avoid needing to say kratom at all and instead refer to kratom only by its scientific name, Mitrogyna speciosa. This is more likely to be seen from scientists and other professionals researching the substance, but it is an option if you really want to avoid saying the word kratom.

What Is The “Official” Way Of Pronouncing Kratom?

If there was a singular answer on what is the “official” way of pronouncing kratom, this is where we would tell you! Unfortunately, there is no such thing and the idea of what makes one pronunciation more correct than another varies.

According to the Oxford Official Dictionary, both “KRAY-tum” and “KRAT-um” are correct, which means that there isn’t a singular way of saying this word.

Beyond that, many people would argue that the most correct way to pronounce the word would be to use the native pronunciation. However, different languages in the region where kratom grows say the word differently, so there isn’t a singular answer there either.

In the end, the only answer is that kratom can be pronounced in different ways. At this time, there isn’t a single, unified pronunciation that is being used in the industry. In the future, it may be standardized, but for the time being, people will continue to use different words.

Should I Correct How People Pronounce Kratom?

Unless someone is specifically asking about the pronunciation or you want to have a conversation about your different ideas about how the word should be said, it is probably best to avoid correcting others on how they say the word.

As we’ve pointed out today, there are valid reasons to pronounce kratom in a few different ways, and no one way has any more weight than the others. The difference lies primarily in accents and dialects used when pronouncing the A sound, and that happens in many different words.

Once the word kratom becomes more widely used and common in the general population, a strong preference for one pronunciation may lead above the rest. However, until then, it is best to avoid correcting others about how they say the word because there is no singular “right” answer.

Kratom: Point Out What Matters

In the end, there’s really no reason to get too worked up about whether or not people are saying kratom the way that you think is right. After hearing you say kratom your way, they may do their own research and decide to pronounce things your way, or they might not.

Either way, the word’s pronunciation isn’t going to make a big difference in how kratom is being received in America, and that is a much bigger issue.

Rather than focusing on pointing out how someone says the word kratom, focus on pointing out the legislation going on about kratom, how the kratom industry is reforming, and other aspects of kratom use in America that are going to have a more profound effect on the industry.

How each of us says the word kratom isn’t going to make or break the kratom industry, so don’t get too worked up about it!

Traveling With Kratom: What You Need To Know

July 1, 2020 by Phyto

Are you getting ready to go on a vacation, to visit a friend, or head somewhere for work? Are you unsure if you can bring kratom with you and wondering how to handle the complications of traveling with kratom?

Many kratom users are not sure whether or not traveling with kratom will be an issue, and there are quite a few different reasons for them to hesitate. While bringing along a substance that they use regularly doesn’t immediately seem like a potential problem, kratom users like you might know that kratom isn’t always understood or looked at fondly.

How can you safely and legally travel with kratom so that you can continue your usual amounts? Here’s what you need to know about traveling with kratom.

Is It Legal To Travel With Kratom?

The first question that many people have is whether it is legal to travel with kratom. It can be confusing because many people suggest being somewhat sneaky about traveling with kratom; this is unnecessary as long as you are following laws.

It is legal to travel with kratom as long as you travel between two places where kratom is legal to possess and use. Additionally, you will want to ensure that anywhere you have a layover also permits kratom to be extra safe.

At this time, there are no federal aviation regulations that say you cannot bring kratom with you as long as the substance is legal in each jurisdiction where you will be traveling.

Tips For Traveling Safely With Kratom

Research Before You Go

Since you need to be sure that kratom is legal in the locations you will be traveling, you want to do some research as soon as you think about bringing kratom along. Knowing the local laws is essential. When you know the laws, you’ll be prepared to answer any questions.

To be extra prepared, bookmark the pages which have applicable local and state laws if any exist. Having these pages prepared will help you to feel less stressed about your travel.

Don’t Try To Hide It

When you’re packing your kratom, pack it as you would pack any medication or snack that you are bringing on a trip with you. Don’t try to hide it in your luggage; don’t try to disguise it as something that it is not.

Kratom is a legal substance in most places, which means that you can legally carry it with you. By trying to disguise it, you are making kratom seem like something illegal or suspicious. It is better to simply pack kratom as it is as if you will encounter no problems. If you do get questioned, you can then take the time to explain yourself.

Keep The Packaging

If possible, pack your kratom with the original packaging that it came in. The packaging will identify what it is, who made it, and what types of regulations the substance is under. While kratom is not nationally regulated, the labels of high-quality kratom products still share a lot of important information.

Kratom in its original packaging will be much easier to explain that kratom you have repackaged without label or identification.

Know What You Will Say If Questioned

The chances are high that you will not be questioned about your kratom at all, but it is always good to be prepared for questions just in case.

In particular, think about the following:

  • Do you know how to explain what kratom is?
  • Do you know how to explain why you use it?
  • Are you aware of the laws about transporting kratom?

If you can answer these three questions confidently, you should be able to give the TSA agents the information they need to finish their investigation. They may decide to swab your bag to ensure you are not hiding anything, but that is OK. It is part of the normal security process, and you will be able to move forward without questions.

Arrive Early

Finally, arrive early so that you are not stressed about making your flight on time. Even if you get stopped for a detailed bag check, it will not take very long. However, that kind of situation may cause you unnecessary stress, so arriving early is always a good idea.

Benefits Of Traveling With Kratom

Keep Your Routine

Most kratom consumers are on a schedule when it comes to kratom, and this is because they don’t want to miss out on the benefits that they expect from keeping their routine. When you travel with the kratom that you are accustomed to using and know exactly what you will be using, it’s easy to keep your routine consistent.

Don’t Worry About Shopping

Who wants to have to shop for supplies as soon as they arrive in a new destination?

Whether you’re traveling for fun, for work, or for something else, you still aren’t likely to want to go looking for kratom when you arrive at your new location. Rather than worry about that, it’s more convenient to simply bring your own supply of kratom with you on your journey.

Know What You’re Using

If you’re accustomed to using high-quality kratom, you will not want to travel somewhere new and buy any old kratom. Kratom from reliable companies that take care to properly process and package their kratom, such as we do here at Phytoextractum, is less risky for consumers.

While it might be possible to buy different kratom when you get to your destination, you won’t necessarily be able to find out if its the same quality that you expect. Rather than risk it, being able to bring your own kratom supply along is a great option.

Conclusion

Don’t get overly stressed about traveling with kratom. As long as you fly between two places where kratom can legally be carried and used, you shouldn’t encounter any problems. Keep your cool, do your research, and be prepared to answer questions if necessary.

As long as you follow these steps, you will be able to travel with kratom with ease.

How To Start Making Your Own Kratom Tea: Step-by-Step Guide

June 10, 2020 by Phyto

There are a lot of different ways to consume kratom. No one way is more right than the other ways, but it is important that you know what method you are using and how to do it properly if you want to have the best effects.

Kratom users frequently turn kratom into a tea to consume it. This method has a lot of benefits, and many find that it is one of the most efficient ways to enjoy kratom. When you’re first trying kratom, there’s a good chance that this is the preparation method people will recommend to you!

Today’s step-by-step guide about how to brew kratom tea will get you started on the process. Once you’ve learned the basics, you’ll be able to work in your own personalizations to suit your needs, tastes, and skills.

The Teapot Method

The first way that we will talk about making kratom tea is via the teapot method. Like other tea products, kratom tea is essentially made by mixing the powder or leaves with hot water. Kratom tea can thus be made with a teapot just like any other tea!

We recommend using this method whenever you want to use the tea immediately. If you want to make a large batch of tea to save for a few days, you will want to skip ahead to the batch method right away. Otherwise, stick around!

All that you need to make kratom via the teapot method is a teapot, water, kratom leaves or powder, and some type of strainer. You can use either tea bags or a mesh strainer; both work perfectly well.

The Process

Measure out your kratom serving. Serving size is going to depend on you and the variety, so pay attention to the recommended serving size and start there. Put the kratom into the mesh strainer or tea bags that you have prepared. Users making tea from powder will get better results from a tea bag while leaves work best in a strainer.

Now, start boiling your tea water in a teapot. Once it has boiled, take the teapot off the heat and let the water cool for a little while.

Once the water has cooled, put your tea bag or strainer into a mug and add water. Depending on the particular strain of kratom that you are using, you will want to let it strain for between five and twenty minutes.

The Pot Method

If you’re more interested in making large batches of kratom or just don’t own a teapot at this time, don’t worry! The pot method of making kratom tea will also work very well, and you can store any extra product in the refrigerator for up to five days to enjoy at a later time.

For this method, you’ll need a pot, water, kratom powder, and some type of strainer. We find that a small mesh strainer is great for kratom leaves while cheesecloth is the best option when you want to use kratom powder to brew your kratom tea.

The Process

First, add the desired amount of water to your pot and bring it to a boil. The amount of water used will depend on how much tea you are making, and you will need to calculate this based on your preferred serving size.

After the water comes to a boil, let it cool down for at least three minutes so that the water doesn’t deactivate the kratom. Then, add your kratom leaves or kratom powder to the water. Allow the water to keep simmering for up to 20 minutes to create your tea.

Once you are finished simmering, you can remove the tea leaves using a mesh strainer. If you used kratom powder, a cheesecloth is going to be much more effective than a mesh strainer. Alternatively, you can let the powder settle and then pour the liquid off the top to keep the powdery sludge out of your tea.

Drinking Your Tea

Once you’ve completed the steps of either of those tea brewing methods, you’ll have your kratom tea ready to go! You can add sweeteners like sugar or honey to your tea, and many kratom users like to add citrus notes like lemon or orange to help improve the flavor.

Regardless of what you add to your tea to make it taste good, it’s important that we note that kratom tea is unlikely to be enjoyed as a sipping tea. It’s the kind of tea drink that you chug for the benefits; don’t try to sip it!

If you want to try kratom tea as an iced variety, simply pour the tea over ice once it is done brewing. Alternatively, store the prepared tea in the refrigerator overnight so that you can enjoy it the next day.

Bonus Tips

As you start experimenting with brewing your own kratom tea, you’ll want to keep some of our favorite tips in mind. These tips will help you to move through the different options that kratom offers with ease and without ruining the botanical benefits.

Tip #1: Avoid Boiling Water

The first thing that you need to know is that the alkaloids in kratom are what makes it effective, and those alkaloids can be ruined by boiling water. Adding kratom powder or leaves to water that is at a rolling boil is going to make it much less effective.

Always let the hot water cool down for a minimum of two minutes before you add any kratom to it. This helps reduce any potential damage that the hot water causes.

Tip #2: Don’t Keep It Too Long

Kratom tea can be stored in the refrigerator for up to five days without any significant quality loss, but you won’t want to try keeping kratom tea in there for eight, nine, or even 10 days and then expect it to still taste great. Plan for small, five-day batches.

Tip #3: Citrus Juice Boost

Studies are still being done to confirm why this happens, but many kratom users report that mixing citrus juice to kratom tea helps to boost the efficiency of the kratom alkaloids because it prevents them from breaking down during the brewing process. Try adding lemon slices to your tea while it is brewing.

Tip #4: Brew Time

If you find the taste of your kratom tea to be too powerful, try brewing for a shorter amount of time. If you find that you need the flavor to be stronger, up the brew time instead. By making these small adjustments, you’ll be able to find the perfect brew time for your body.

Kratom Capsules: Is This Less Common Method Worth It?

April 6, 2020 by Phyto

There are a lot of unique things about kratom, and we love being able to take some time to share these things with you. For instance, did you know that there are dozens of different chemicals that make up kratom leaves, similar to the way that there are dozens of cannabinoids that make up marijuana leaves?

Pretty cool, right?

Another thing that we find awesome about kratom is the consumption methods are very versatile. While many people prefer to make kratom tea and drink it, this is far from the only way that you can consume it. In fact, there are easier ways.

Today we’ll be talking about the arguably easiest way to take kratom: kratom capsules. Are kratom capsules better? That’ll be up to you to decide, but we’ll share what we know about this unique delivery method.

What Are Kratom Capsules?

Kratom capsules are small pills that are filled with kratom powder. These pills can be taken in lieu of a direct serving of kratom or a glass of kratom tea, and many people like them because they’re generally easier to get and use.

How Are Kratom Capsules Made?

Kratom capsules aren’t harvested off of trees; they need to be made! When you decide to try kratom capsules, you’ll have to decide how you want to go about getting them.

Premade Capsules

The first way that you can try them is to buy premade capsules. Many kratom vendors like us sell capsule versions of some of our most popular or most requested strains. These capsules make it easier for consumers that are busy to simply have them.

Buy Kratom online at Phytoextractum

Make-Your-Own Capsules

If you want to save a little money or make your own kratom blends when you prepare capsules, you can actually make your own kratom capsules at home instead of buying them premade. It is very easy to buy empty capsules in bulk, and they can be bought in different sizes.

At home, you just need to fill them up! You can do this by hand, or you can buy a capsule maker tool. This tool holds the side of the capsule so that you can easily fill it up before closing the capsules off using the tool.

When filling the capsules, you can put in any combination of kratom strains and serving size that you prefer. This personalization option is one of the reasons that a lot of people choose to make their own capsules rather than buy premade ones.

The Pros and Cons of Kratom Capsules

Now that you know a bit more about how kratom capsules are and can be made, let’s talk about what is good and what is not so good about using them. As with every consumption method, there are pros and cons to using kratom capsules. To determine if these are a good choice for you, take a closer look at all of the pros and cons.

Pros

There are quite a few reasons why we think that you might love using kratom capsules. Of course, we know that they aren’t for everyone. Still, we think it is worth considering changing up your kratom routine to include these.

Better Taste

For some people, using kratom capsules is key because it prevents them from having to actually taste the kratom! Kratom tea is great, but it’s undeniable that the flavor can be hard to stomach at times. If you find the taste of kratom off-putting, trying kratom capsules may be a good idea.

Convenient

Another benefit of trying kratom capsules is that you’ll get to experience how convenient they are to use. You can easily take one of these capsules when you’re on the go without any issues. When you only take kratom tea, you need to have that prepared in advance or have the space to prepare it in order to take your serving.

Customized Serving Size & Blends

Kratom capsules allow for a lot of flexibility in your consumption. Not only can you choose exactly how much kratom to add to each capsule if you make them yourself, but you can also mix up the blends that you use.

For example, you can mix up a green Malay strain with a white strain while you are making your capsules so that you can get the perfect balance of the strains that work best for you whenever you take your capsule each day.

May Save Money

Finally, it’s good to know that you might be able to save some money with capsules. While premade capsules can be pricey, making them yourself can save you a lot of money if you buy them in bulk when they’re empty.

Cons

Of course, there are also some potential negatives to trying out kratom capsules. Some people find that taking kratom through a pill is harder on their stomach, causing symptoms like nausea or vomiting. This side effect is likely to be more difficult if you take a large daily serving.

Other people find that making their own capsules is too tedious, and buying them premade is too expensive. If you’ve already figured out a system that works for your time and your budget, don’t feel like you need to change it just to try kratom capsules!

Will Capsules Work For You?

You’ll have to be the one to decide if kratom capsules make sense for your lifestyle. The best way to make this decision is to think about when you like to take kratom, how much kratom you usually take, and if it would be more convenient to use capsules.

Another thing to consider is the time investment. Some people find that making kratom tea is quick and easy while filling capsules is tiring; others feel the opposite of that. Only you can decide how you feel about kratom capsules.

We think kratom capsules are a super unique and efficient way to take your kratom, but you don’t have to use it if you don’t like it! Take some time to test out kratom capsules, and then you can decide what is going to be best for you.

Kratom From Home: What You Can Do To Keep Buying Kratom

March 26, 2020 by Phyto

There’s no doubt that the world has changed in the time since the COVID-19 pandemic began to spread. Business has changed; social life has changed. Everything has changed in one way or another, and there’s a new normal that people are beginning to adapt to.

For those who consume kratom and aim to support reputable kratom vendors, it is a great time to consider what you can do to help these businesses survive these difficult times. Vendors that work hard to ensure only the highest-quality kratom makes it to their customers and buying from them directly during this time is more important than ever.

Let’s talk about why buying kratom from home at this time helps the industry, and what else you can do to ensure that you will be able to continue to easily access kratom for years to come.

The COVID-19 Problem

How is COVID-19 affecting the kratom industry specifically?

While much of the kratom industry is rooted in online sales, there are still many physical aspects in the process that are being affected by the ongoing pandemic. From shipping to in-store shopping, delays are affecting the industry from start to finish.

In particular, these are the problems plaguing the industry:

  • Shipping delays
  • Supply chain disruption
  • Importation problems
  • International supply inspection and testing delays
  • Lack of kratom advocacy opportunities
  • Limited in-store shopping possible
  • Extra cleaning required
  • Extra safety measures required for employees

These are far from the only problems that businesses in the kratom industry are having, but they are the problems that are most affecting the industry at large. What can be done to help the industry get past all of these problems so that kratom can continue to be sold safely and legally?

Online Shopping Remains Easy

Regardless of what is going on outside of your door, shopping online remains an easy and safe way to get your kratom supply without having contact with anyone. You can order whatever you want to try out from the comfort of your own home, and it will be delivered to you a short time later.

The only way that this might really change during the COVID-19 pandemic is that there are shipping delays across the country. In addition to some warehouses taking a little bit longer to fulfill orders due to updated staffing routines to keep workers safe, there are also delays within the USPS service itself.

This means that while you might need to wait a little bit longer than usual, you will still be able to get kratom delivered to your house without any problems.

Vet Your Vendors

Regardless of what is going on in the world, it remains very important for you to vet who you choose to buy kratom from. When processed and handled properly, kratom is safe to use, but there are unfortunately some sellers that are not as honorable as others. This means that they do not do enough testing, and that could put you at risk.

It is very important to always check into those that you are thinking about purchasing from. See how they test their products, find out if they are handling things properly, and ask them questions about anything that concerns you. If they cannot give you the answers you seek, look for another company to buy from.

Phytoextractum is proud to be part of the American Kratom Association’s GMP program. This means that we prioritize our customer and product safety over profits. We make sure that we are doing the required latest best practices at all times.

If you are unsure what vendor to buy from, look up the complete list of GMP-compliant vendors on AKA’s website for some ideas of where to shop.

Hit The Stores

If you aren’t comfortable buying online, you can still go to stores and shop in some areas. Depending on local restrictions, you might be able to call around and find what shops you can go in to pick up some items.

Alternatively, many shops may also have curbside pickup. This means that you would be able to drive up, pick up your items without any contact, and then be on your way. This is an incredibly safe way to shop during the ongoing pandemic, and it might be the only way you can physically shop in your area.

Kratom Advocacy Continues

During this time, another important aspect of keeping the industry alive is to continue kratom advocacy. Legislative bodies and most political meetings are on hold at this time, and that means that any progress being made by kratom advocacy groups has been put on hold.

While organizations behind these movements are still working hard to ensure that important things like Kratom Consumer Protection Laws will still be moved through the system, they are going to require more resources and support now.

Community Involvement Is Key

The biggest way that you can help with advocacy is to get involved in the community around you. Find out what type of advocacy is happening in your area. See if there are any laws that are being considered, and do your part to get those passed.

You can help do this by calling local legislatures, writing letters, signing petitions, and contacting local offices about how you feel. Hearing from constituents is a major way that politicians make decisions, so using your voice is very important.
