General Information:  

Oregon grape is a bush that is local to North America, particularly the Pacific coastline. It is most generally found in Oregon, henceforth its name. The plant is distinguished by expansive, purple berries and little, yellow blossoms. The root is brilliant yellow. 

Oregon grape root contains a few antimicrobial compounds, for example, berberine. While the root is typically decocted in boiling water for 15 minutes to create a potent tea for drinking, the root may likewise be tinctured and added to topical treatments that may address different skin conditions.
