Trichocereus Pachanoi - San Pedro Cactus
San Pedro is the name given to the genus Trichocereus which is comprised of about thirty species native to the Andes of Peru and Ecuador. A night bloomer, it is a large columnar cactus capable of growing up to twenty feet in height.
San Pedro is easily grown in most areas, often rapidly producing 12-18 inches of new growth each year. Because it grows naturally in the high altitude, high rainfall areas of the Andes, it can withstand temperatures far below that of many other cacti. Cultivating San Pedro requires much of the same as our other live plants; a fertile and free draining medium, moderate water, and filtered light.
We offer this material live as a 12" callused tip (with an average 2½ - 3½" diameter*) ready for planting.
Please check out our Live Plant Information page for details before ordering. Phytoextractum supplies these cactus with the expectation that we are shipping them to experienced and educated growers. While we do send on care sheets and basic information in how to look after your cactus, ordering with zero knowledge of how to care for it is a bad idea - please research the growing of cactus before making your purchase.
