Leonotis Leonurus (Wild Dagga) - Dried Leaf - 28 grams
Also known as Wild Dagga or Lion's Tail, Leonotis Leonurus is a robust shrub which grows up to 2-3 meters tall and 1.5m wide. It is commonly widespread throughout South Africa (Eastern and Western Cape Provinces, Kwazulu-Natal and Mpumalanga) and found amongst the rocks in grasslands.
The active component in Wild Dagga is leonurine, the same alkaloid that can be found in Leonurus Sibiricus.
Leonotis Leonurus has been reported as being used in traditional medicine to treat fevers, headaches, coughs, dysentery among many other conditions. It has also been used as a snake-bite remedy, plus as a charm in order to keep snakes away.
