Valerian Root Powder

Valeriana officinalis
A root that runs deep with historical use dating back to ancient Greece and Rome.  The roots are often used to help with relaxation and to aid with sleeping.  This plant thrives in North America and Europe and is often used as an aesthetic plant to compliment gardens.

The roots are dried and then ground into a fine powder.  The root is most often used in tea, but can also be encapsulated for easier use.
